I'm looking for voice actors to audition for this narrative. I'm not expecting professional voice actors. Anyone can audition and audition for whomever you please! I'm not solid on how any of the voices should sound.

Silus (Valenteen) Blithe

Age: 16
Gender: male
Voice: tenor. Mediocre. Talks a little quietly at times. Talks smoothly.
Silus lives in a slummy, poor neighborhood. Life is hard and people are cruel. He meets
Evilyn and falls in love with her, but a vampire named Madelia turns them both into vampires and makes them hunt blood for her. Silus becomes lost in a larger cat-and-mouse hunt when Calvin, a vampire hunter searching for Madelia, captures him. He’s forced to become a stage performer under the name Valenteen. In the middle of the web, Calvin’s daughter Candy helps him.

Sample lines:

Hey, wait a minute!

Do what I say, don’t speak, and don’t lose sight of me.

I told you, sure! But those were cold facts. If you had been there to see and smell what I had, to see your loved one ripped into pieces before your eyes! And to know your mother had been brutally murdered. How would you feel? Well!

Voice: typical middle-aged man’s voice. A little baritone. rough when he’s angry.
He covers up his vampire hunting occupation by running a successful theatre company. He manages to capture Silus when he was seeking Madelia and uses him for plays. Secretly, he and Madelia are partners. Calvin gives her blood and other necessities and in exchange, she turns people into vampires for him and lets him capture them.

Sample lines:

The creature seems a little frail, doesn’t it? You have a name son? Huh. Not talking? Not that it would matter either way. You belong to this organization now and will cooperate
or be killed. Do you understand? I’ll take your silence as a yes.

So you want this do you? Tell me Valenteen are you hungry?

Consider your actions wiser next time. Ok, let’s go.

The Hairdresser

Age: 20ish
Gender: Female
Voice: very modern and city-style. Click, pop culture, chattery.
Calvin’s professional hairdresser. She comes and goes to do Silus’s makeup, put his costumes together, and do his hair for plays.

Sample lines:

Ah, yes, I remember this one. Time sure does pass quickly, I’ll say. Well, bring him in and we’ll get started on the make-over.

This way please.

My, he has such thick hair, doesn’t he? And check out that smooth skin. Oh, wow. It feels like an actor’s skin.

The Defending Attorney

Age: 30s
Gender: male
Voice: self-confident, expressive. Talks clean.
The attorney Calvin hires to defend his case. Aggravatingly, this attorney has a snotty, sarcastic personality that he projects in the courtroom.

Sample lines:

Silus, where did you say you were from?

[Snickering] Well then, where is this Madelia creature you
speak of? Or should we go to the cinema and check for this
underground lair?

Rubbish!

The Judge

Age: 40s
Gender: male
Voice: mumbles a little. Regular type of voice.
The judge that takes charge of the case against Calvin. Mild-mannered, doesn't make rash decisions.

Alright, Cassandra Hestlecam you are suing your father,
Calvin Hestlecam, in particular his company, on account of
abuse to human beings.

You may begin your questioning.

For heaven’s sake [Removing glasses], beatings and
vampires, blood and all these fairytales. [Shuffling
through papers] This record states that Amy Blithe was
strangled and had puncture marks on her neck? And that her
body had been broken and mangled.

The Officer

Auditioning:
To audition for a character, skim any part of the script that you please (see URL above) and send me 2-3 lines from the part you chose. Make sure to label verbally or otherwise, which character you're auditioning for.

Auditions will be closed Thursday Dec 10. I'll contact everyone in a timely manner at that date with the results.



Revisions and Re-Doing Dialog:
If you're chosen, please send 3 variations of each line (if this is too much, 2 variations). I ask for this because I need choices to use the best-suited tone for each character. I may also ask for extra changes, added lines, sounds, etc.Mixing and editing audio productions is a tedious and partially unpredictable task. Single lines put together might sound incorrect in some manner and will need re-recording. Therefore, I need you all to be aware of this and be available to send me revisions in a timely manner.
